Perfectly Splendid

Our Easter turned out splendid.
I was worried about the fate of our day when Addy initial refused to wear her Easter dress because she thought the flowers
and the butterflies were "too scary." She recovered and even managed to let me do something with her hair. Once that major hurdle was complete, the day was smooth sailing.
Ryan sang beautifully with a double quartet in church and the church meetings were all wonderful reminders of why Resurrection Sunday is such a sacred holiday.
The culinary highlight of the day was the Australian rack of lamb served for dinner.
We will repeat this as our traditional Easter meal.
I changed our traditional meal to better match the Challah bread that I bought at the scout auction. It arrived warm and fresh out of the oven just as we were ready to sit down for dinner. The entire dinner was so wonderful that I wanted to repeat it again right after I finished eating.

The younger munchin slept through dinner and the older munchins fell asleep immediately after dinner. A perfect gift to the adults who were able to converse and eat strawberries and homemade angel food cake in peace and quiet.

Super Addy

Her love for the green bug glasses led to finding a cape and spending the morning as "Super Snap Addy." She was heard saying "I'm super fast!" and "There's an animal in trouble. We better save it."
