Recipe for a great birthday

Choose your favorite donuts from Dunkin Donuts.

Chocolate sprinkles are always the best choice.

Open an American Airlines pin from your Great Grandma. Wear it and call your self Super American Airlines as you rescue stuffed animals in trouble.

Read the world's biggest book on Airplanes.

Spend an entire afternoon building a LARGE Lego airplane with your dad.

Enjoy your tarantula birthday cake with friends.

A great day for a great boy!

Let Birthday Week Commence

Amy's birthday marks the start of Birthday Week at our house.

(Including the birth of the little miss on the 5th there are
5 family birthdays to celebrate this week)

Jack and Addy were very excited to eat "Happy Birthday Cake".

Ryan ordered a yummy cake from one of the nurses at work.

For this week only, Ryan and Amy are the same age.
Next week Ryan goes back to being OLDER.

My baby is 4

Yes, he turned 4 on March 30th.

Hard for me to believe that he is 4 and only one year away from kindergarten.

He requested an excavator cake and I was able to make one with relative ease.
However, when he saw what I made he asked, "Where's the tracks?" He didn't want a wheeled excavator but one with tracks. Next time I will make sure to get the specifics.
He seemed to love the idea of the cake.
He even gave it a hug.

We didn't actually eat the cake but he did lick off all of the frosting. What a lucky birthday boy.

Jack brings a lot of excitement and enthusiasm to our lives. Life would be pretty dull without Jack. Sure do love that kid.

She liked it

Here's the happy girl eating her cake. She really liked the spots.
Her day started off pretty good. She got to pick out these balloons all by herself. She reminded everyone that they belonged to her with frequent, "My bawwoons."
She and Jack enjoyed spelling her name with this puzzle.
A package from Grandma Shirlene arrived at lunch so I let her open it. We read this book throughout the rest of the day.
Olivia got lots of snuggles.
This toy did not even make it out of the box before it was used to make music.
It is a favorite of Jack's now too.

Beautiful day for a great, spunky little girl. She sure makes us smile.

Will the Birthday Girl like it?

We'll see when she wakes up from her nap.

(I find the green eyes a little scary myself. I may have to eat them.)

Happy Birthday, Baby Girl!

Can you believe she turns one today?

I woke up to the sounds of giggling from the kid's bedroom. Jack was doing fake sneezes and Adeline was giggling. Happy sounds. Then both Ryan and I heard "Love you" from Jack to Addy. Heart melting. Then when I went in to their room to get them, Jack was in the crib with Addy hugging her. When I asked, "What are you doing?", his response was "Loving."

We are loving Addy Lou too!
