Hide and Go Seek

Addy is a huge fan of hide and go seek.

Her favorite spots include:

and

I love that she closes or covers her eyes and assumes we can not see her.

Fortunately, her giggle gives her away.

She liked it

Here's the happy girl eating her cake. She really liked the spots.
Her day started off pretty good. She got to pick out these balloons all by herself. She reminded everyone that they belonged to her with frequent, "My bawwoons."
She and Jack enjoyed spelling her name with this puzzle.
A package from Grandma Shirlene arrived at lunch so I let her open it. We read this book throughout the rest of the day.
Olivia got lots of snuggles.
This toy did not even make it out of the box before it was used to make music.
It is a favorite of Jack's now too.

Beautiful day for a great, spunky little girl. She sure makes us smile.

Will the Birthday Girl like it?

We'll see when she wakes up from her nap.

(I find the green eyes a little scary myself. I may have to eat them.)

Minty Fresh

I'd like to think that Addy is taking her oral hygiene seriously.

However, I think she is just enjoying the minty taste of the dental floss.

A little Adeline

Addy is a girly girl and I love it.
She loves fancy shoes, tights, sparkles, and hair bows.

But she's a girly girl who LOVES to get dirty.
Her favorite thing to do is run through the mud puddle in our driveway.
She gets filthy but is so happy.

Excuse the food smeared on her face and focus on her expressive eyebrows, big blue eyes and cute piggies. She tolerates me combing her hair and sometimes we get the pigtails in before she runs away.

Medical History

Addy is home from her exciting morning at the Surgical Center.
Do not let these pictures deceive you into thinking she was upset. She had a great time before her surgery making the nurses ohh and ahhh.

She marched herself right in to the pre-op area wearing her new fancy sandals and chose this from the toy closet.

Which I think is way cuter than what she picked the last time.

I was secretly hoping she would pick the My Little Pony and Ryan said there were cool toys for him on the higher shelves but Addy only had eyes for the doll.

The worst part of the day? Having to put in her eye drops.

She will have tubes in her tear ducts for a year or until they fall out and hopefully this will mean no more clogged tear ducts or goopy eyes.

A birthday revisited

We had a great time celebrating Addy's first birthday.

Here is her free birthday cake from a local grocery store.
It was really really pink and really really tasty.

Jack helped Adeline open her presents. She got some great books, clothes, a stuffed octopus and this cute basket full of cloth Easter eggs with all sorts of things inside. Everything was a hit.

Loving the cake!

Pretty in Pink

My friend Annabel told me that Addy would look cute with a pony tail.
I think she is right.

And because I have so many cute pictures of Addy with her pony tail I am including many. But to spice things up, I will label each picture with a different nickname .

(We are big on nicknames. It is a wonder that our children ever learn their real names)
