Loving Rochester

Lilac Festival
4th of July at the Pulley's House
Our House
Strong National Museum of Play
Abbott's Custard
Dinosaur BBQ
Ryan gets to walk to work
Beautiful summer and fall
Our GREAT friends
Wegmans

These are just a few of the reasons why I am happy to remain in Rochester.

And I will add one more to the list.

I get to have my same, wonderful, most favorite OB deliver the third and last Shelton baby in early October.

Icing on the cake.

No joke, I promise.

Addy's outfit courtesy of

laundry day.

Red tights and a fleece jacket. It works.

Let's just say that I have not done laundry in awhile.

A girl can dream

So last night I dreamed that one of the musical numbers at our church's General Conference in two weeks was the hymn "If You Could Hie to Kolob" played by a rock band complete with electric guitar solo.

I just don't see this dream coming true, do you?

Hide and Go Seek

Addy is a huge fan of hide and go seek.

Her favorite spots include:

and

I love that she closes or covers her eyes and assumes we can not see her.

Fortunately, her giggle gives her away.

What should I do with all of my free time?

Now that Ryan accepted a job in Rochester, I no longer have to spend my days painting trim, boxing up books or worrying about where we will move. I have a lot more free time on my hands.

Any suggestions on how to fill it?

Missing the pretty snow

This was my front yard over the weekend.

We spent Jack's first snow day from school last Friday taking a sled ride to a friend's house to play and shoveling the two feet of HEAVY snow when Ryan came home.

Jack's favorite part about the snow day?

The official Snow Day Snow Cone.

He had two.

When will I ever learn

to keep my mouth shut.

Within 45 minutes of telling a friend that Jack was doing really well with wiping himself after using the potty. I found this.

Reality check.

At least his buns are clean and this is clean toilet paper.
